We love going to the Fall Lake campground with the kids. It has a great beach and playground, we can launch our boat or canoe right from the boat launch and we have direct access to the BWCA. There is a great island about a mile from the boat launch that you can camp on as well. It is in the BWCA though and you would need to get a BWCA permit to camp there. The Fall Lake campground has lots of great amenities and is fun for everyone. We can easily setup our tent and enjoy a weekend of fun with the family. The only slight negative I would have to say is that I purchased a bundle of wood there for $6 and it was completely green so it did not burn well at all. However the staff are extremely friendly and it is a really fun place to camp, so next time I'll just remember to bring my own wood.
